The article “Jeanneret, the city and Photography” throws light on Le Corbusier’s early interest in photography as a tool for communicating his in-depth analysis of the spatial complexity of historic cities. It also shows how Le Corbusier  transposed his observations on existing architecture into his own architecture and finally how he used photography to publicize his own work. The article was published in the catalogue of the exhibition “Le Corbusier before Le Corbusier”, curated  by Stanislaus von Moos and Arthur Rüegg and shown in New York and Baden in 2002.
